NIS promotes leadership and action initiatives among students.
“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference” NIS YLAC Equality Club organised an extension service titled “Anubandhan” to Vidyagokula ,a shelter home for destitute children, at Singanayakanahalli on 13 January, 2024. The students organised games for the children and had an interactive session. Stationery, note books, food items and toiletries were distributed . The club members found it a great way to contribute to society.
As part of Vigilance awareness week , Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. organised an Inter school debate competition at Nitte International School, Bangalore on 2nd November, 2023 on the topic “Will digitalisation alone make India Corruption free? ”The Host school, Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPR and Kendriya Vidyalaya, RWF participated in the debate.It was an informative session for all .
A session on the topic ‘Navigating the Digital Landscape' - Crafting a positive and responsible social media presence was conducted for the students of grades 8 to 12 on 1st December ,2023 .The resource person Mr.Tony ,a Media and Broadcasting Professional spoke about impact of social media, cyber security, cyber bullying , plagiarism awareness digital citizenship to name a few. It was an enlightening session and was much appreciated by the students.
Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) in its fifth tenure at Nitte International School has increased the student’s awareness greatly towards the country’s democratic processes and capacity building.
Designed to prepare students for cognitive, associative and autonomous learning thereby propelling students to make a positive difference in the world.
Interact Club provide NIS students an opportunity to participate, serve the communities , inculcate values and foster an understanding of the World.
Model United Nations (MUN) is an educational simulation that endeavours to hone transversal skills like diplomacy, critical thinking and innovative thinking to name a few. The purpose is to advance the understanding of the United Nations and contemporary global issues through quality educational programmes. This will facilitate the ability of students to make informed decisions and will be catalytic for the progress of the Nation.
At NIS holistic development is the epicentre of all the activities.The health and wellness of the students are integral to their learning and development providing comprehensive knowledge, psychological support and life skills education. This helps students make informed and responsible choices leading to better overall health and a strong foundation for their future.
The Primary Eco club,named ‘Green Guardians’, spanning grades 3 to 5 was set up on 5th June 2023. The club has been set up to raise awareness about environmental issues and emphasize the collective responsibility to safeguard Mother Earth. Myriad activities have been planned to raise Eco consciousness among NIS students.
ATL @ NIS provides a platform for innovation fostering curiosity and enhances hands-on experience among Students to develop analytical and logical thinking abilities.
Khan Academy is an online educational platform which provides free online lessons and practice in maths. It provides a happy learning experience for students.
NCC is a premier youth organisation in the country that aims to develop qualities of character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship. It encourages the ideals of selfless service among the youth and instils in them a sense of patriotic commitment .
